New Years 2017!
2016 was a year of National Parks. We had the Grand Canyon, Zion, and Bryce checked off. We decided to add Joshua Tree NP to our list. We made it a double date as H and D joined us. It also turned out that D had special plans of his own. After 3 full days in Palm Springs he asked H to marry him. It was fitting that he did it at the Andreas Fault Park since H is a civil engineer and is obsessed with everything related to dirt. Lucky for him she said Yes!
We had rented a sweet 2 bed, 2 bath, Hot tub, and salt water pool home via Airbnb. This time we had a nice big American car that fit all our luggage and golf bags.
We golfed and picked grapefruits while golfing from strangers houses. Hiked, BBQ for New Years Dinner, and ate DOLE Whip. Man DW is a fruity and tart experience that everyone should try. We saw over 4000 wind mills in the desert and walk on the shores of the Salton Sea. It is salty and it smells like rotten fish. I think it was the salt and the smell that made H walk into a window full on, but I digress, Palm Springs is not just for retired people. Its for all ages. I loved it.
