CUBA “LIBRE”

Gerry and I took a last minute trip to Cuba.

This was one of the last trips that the USA allowed to Cuba for tourism purposes only. We spent several days on the island. We visited Hemingway’s home, bought some cigars, ate traditional Cuban food (I like puerto rican food better), walk the old section of Havana, tasted rum, and watched a traditional vegas style show at The Hotel Nacional de Cuba.

We have included the pretty images of Havana and the real Havana. We had many conversations with locals. The stories we hear about Cuba here in the US do not do justice to the struggles the Cuban people are living. This is one of those trips that made me want to kiss the floor on arrival to the USA.
