Let’s say you are in Europe for 22 days and on day #15 you broke your glasses and you had no back up? Now we get to Sicily where there are many optometrists on the quaint streets. Lovely large shops. Unfortunate for us it’s Sunday and they were all closed. Well all but one. In a combination of broken Italian and fluent Spanish we managed to get the broken glasses fixed. Let’s say we do not travel with out several sets of contacts these days. In a way I liked that we spent the day in Palermo doing something a local would be doing. We interacted with locals walked the small streets and visited the local sights.
